"Behave suspicious": Belgium monitors the "spy ship" of the Russian Federation in the North Sea

According to the Minister of Justice of Belgium Vincent Van Quicenborn, the Russian ship was spotted along with windy power plants, underwater gas and information cables and other important infrastructure. Belgium declared an investigation into the presence of a ship of the Russian Federation in the North Sea. Reuters writes about it. Belgian Justice Minister Vincent Van Quinkenborn noted that the Spy Ship was discovered in the Belgian North Sea in mid -November last.

Despite the fact that the stay of Russian ships in the North Sea is not forbidden, Belgium is watching the situation closely. "We do not know the exact motives of this Russian ship, but we will not be naive," the minister said. Van Quicenborn pointed out that the ship "behaves suspiciously" near Belgian wind power plants, underwater gas and information cables, and other important infrastructure.

It is also reported that a day earlier in the Netherlands declared the presence of a Russian ship in the North Sea. According to intelligence, the ship was targeted at infrastructure. The Dutch Navy and the Coast Guard removed the ship from the area. The Kremlin has not yet commented on the Netherlands and Belgium statements about the ship.

We will remind that on February 14, the intelligence of Norway reported that the ships of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation for the first time in 30 years began to enter the sea with tactical nuclear weapons on board.

Focus also wrote that on February 14, the chairman of the united coordination press center of the south defense forces Natalia Humeniuk stated that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation had moved their ships against the backdrop of news of the Armed Forces of long -range weapons. We also wrote that on February 21, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated that the Armed Forces servicemen were trained by the management of underwater unmanned vehicles in Belgium.
