"Ukrainian Messerschmites": Engineers showed over -light drones that use the Armed Forces

The cost of one complex is $ 5700, it includes two UAVs, management station and auxiliary equipment. The NGO "Ukrainian Messerschmites" creates reconnaissance drones that already help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The developer Alex Shmelyov spoke about the draft news of dev. ua at the 3D printing exhibition in Kiev. Small and super -light drones are designed to operate up to 15 km.

Engineers print details for "Ukrainian mesershmits" made of Copet plastic on a 3D printer-only five parts, which are then glued together with each other and covered with fiberglass for strength. "It is the same plastic as in the dies. Very environmentally friendly, then you can process," Alex Shmelyov explained. One plastic housing weighs 600 g, and after covering with fiberglass - 800 g, another 1 kg weighs electronics and 200 g - batteries.

The runway depends on the amount of "glass" and varies from 1. 8 kg to 2 kg. The wingspan is 1. 6 m, the device accelerates up to 65 km/h and can be carried out in flight up to 65 minutes. The drone is equipped with an onboard computer, homemade radio, course and lower cameras, field controller.

Creators say that it has good resistance to the means of radio electronic wrestling thanks to encrypted signals and pseudo-inflates restructuring of the operating frequency (PPRC), which allows to switch between frequencies in the range of 5-6 GHz and avoid "glutening". The video is transmitted by the same channel as control signals. Now the team is trying to make a lightweight drone model with a fuselage in 650 g and a runway over 3 kg. It will be possible to attach up to 2 kg of pay.

Reduilders are currently used to study the military at the Boryviter school. Engineers gave her two training planes and promised to pass eight more. In addition, the Armed Forces group plans to use drones in operations, the details of which are not yet disclosed. Several more units have invited such UAVs, but the organization cannot provide all customers. At the exhibition, volunteers were brought one of the UAV, which withstood eight combat departments.

In two of them, the drone received significant damage to the wing, however, according to Alex Shmelev states, it is very easy to lay a hole and a crack, causing a new layer of plastic and fiberglass. At the same time, conventional plastic drones can only be repaired once. According to Alex Shmelev, a month of engineers manages to collect a maximum of six complexes.

The printers sometimes fail, but when they work properly, the week is printed for 4 buildings, and they still need to be glued and equipped with electronic components. The first versions cost $ 3000, but after the modifications, the cost of production increased to $ 5700 for a complex consisting of two aircraft, management stations, equipment for maintenance. Since August 2022, 10 engineers have been working in Ukrainian Messerschmites.

They tried to work with Creality Ender-6 printers, which prints large details, as well as from Creality Ender-3, which is suitable for small ones. In the case of small details, there is a lot of marriage, so sometimes they cannot be glued, and mistakes become noticeable only in the process of harvesting. On one printer you can print a drone in 96 hours, and in the presence of 10 printers - per day. Earlier, the Armed Forces showed how the Ukrainian drone "Bat" works.
