They do not fly close: the Armed Forces explained why Ukrainian air defense does not knock down hostile planes

According to Colonel Yuri Ignat, Russian pilots do not dare to fly close to the line of fighting and try to strike remote blows, using managed airplanes. Recently, there is no information that Ukrainian air defense products do not knock down hostile planes and helicopters. This is due to the fact that Russian pilots do not want to risk and do not fly to the zones of damage to our systems, so the enemy's combat aviation strikes remotely.

On May 8, a spokesman for the Armed Forces Yuri Ignat told during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine - Ukrinform. He noted that the CCS of the Russian Federation mostly uses managed aircraft-old Fab-500, which are equipped with GPS navigation and wings, which allows not to enter the area of damage to Ukrainian air defense systems. "We have not seen the whipped Russian aircraft and helicopters for a long time, sometimes they are, but rarely.

This is because the enemy does not dare to fly into the area of defeat of our air defense and is trying to remotely strike, including managed airbots," Ignat explained. According to him, to eliminate the threat of remote blows to the Ukrainian air forces, the F-16 aircraft will be needed, which will be able to win domination in the sky and drive Russian aviation from the line of combat collision.

We will remind, Colonel Yuri Ignat on May 8 noted that after Western partners will provide all the promised equipment, Ukraine will have one of the best air defense systems in the world. First of all, Ukrainian systems will be able to protect the main goals for the occupiers as effectively as possible - critical infrastructure, energy facilities and nuclear power plants. The speaker of the Air Force also told about possible provocations on May 9 by the enemy.
