The European Union countries in the tenth package of sanctions, which will be dedicated to the anniversary of the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, will include a wide ban on exports to the aggressor country. In particular, Russia will be forbidden to sell toilets, bides, drainage tanks and other plumbing, Euobserver reports.
The publication notes that the ban on the supply of toilets to Russia will be symbolic, since President Vladimir Putin did nothing to improve his own citizens' lives during his reign. During the invasion of Georgia in 2008, Russian soldiers began to steal the toilets and bring them home. After a full -scale invasion of Ukraine, history was repeated, because, according to journalists, there is still no toilet in every fifth house of the Russian Federation.
"You know, they used to talk about their biggest dream - to see Paris and die . . . Now their dream is to steal the toilet and die," said President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky last April. But the inclusion of symbolic objects and little -known technologies occurs at the same time when the Russian diamond and nuclear industry is again out of sight, the journalists of the publication noted. It also raises the question of why the EU continued to export components that can be used for weapons.
