Ukraine can win a defensive war against Russia - the German Ministry of Finance

The countries of the event should support Ukrainians so that Vladimir Putin cannot win, says Minister Christian Linder. German Finance Minister Christian Linder is convinced that Ukraine is able to win a defensive war against Russia. He made such a statement during a speech at Princeton University in the United States on April 15, reports DW. According to Christian Linder, Russian President Vladimir Putin should not come out under any conditions.

In order not to happen, the countries of the event need to continue to support the Ukrainian government. Christian Linder also commented on the statement of French President Emmanuel Macron that Europe should become more independent from both China and the United States. The minister called the words "naive" and suggested that Europeans will not be able to withstand Russia with nuclear weapons and therefore need help with the United States.

At the same time, the NATO military alliance still plays an important role in curbing threats under the leadership of Washington. According to the Ukrainian Government's site, Prime Minister Denis Schmigal met with the Ministers of Finance of Germany, the United Kingdom and France in the West Meetings west in Washington. Christian Linder promised that the German authorities will allocate more than € 3 billion to Ukrainians in 2023 and more than 5 billion euros of long -term military assistance.

Another 2 billion euros have promised to allocate France in the person of Minister Brun Le Mayor, some of this money will be transferred to the country's restoration. Recently, Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the victory of Ukraine and the liberation of Crimea an alternative result for the whole world. According to him, the de -occupation of the peninsula is necessary to establish a procedure based on international agreements and the UN Charter, which has been violated by Russia.
