Russia is not found guilty: the Court in the Hague completed the War in Georgia in 2008

For eight years (from 2008 to 2016), the ISS conducted a preliminary investigation, after which in January 2016 the Khan's management began to study materials in the case of war in Georgia.

In the end, the court decided that four persons were guilty: according to the ISS, it was these people who are responsible for illegal imprisonment, torture and inhuman behavior, humiliation of human dignity, hostage capture and illegal movement of civilians during the Russian-Georgian War. The Georgian Ministry of Justice stated that the court's decision in the Hague had fully confirmed the right of Georgia, Jam News reports.

"The decision of the Hague Court clearly confirmed that the truth is on the side of Georgia from beginning to end. Hague once and for all said that the truth in this war was on the side of the Georgian people and Georgian heroes," - said the Minister of Justice of Rati Bregadze. The opposition also favorably made the decision of the ISS, believing that in this way it was stated about the innocence of Mikhail Saakashvili, who at that time was the president of the country.

"All the accusations against the Georgian military were rejected, all the accusations against Georgia Commander Mikhail Saakashvili were rejected. Georgia was justified, no Georgian committed the crime," said the decision of the Court of the Opposition Party. However, the director of the Institute for Studying Nationalism and Conflict in Tbilisi Paata Zakareishvili remained disappointed with this decision of the ISS.

"The result is scanty: there will be only one, already dead, Russian general and three Osset. According to Zakareishvili, the court's decision has not affected anyone, and now "everyone can sleep peacefully - both in Moscow and Tbilisi.
