Zelensky was allowed to withdraw units of the Armed Forces from Bakhmut

According to Presidential Advisor Oleksandr Rodnyansky, if the military leaves the city, the Russians will still not be able to move quickly due to defensive fortifications. The Armed Forces of Ukraine can make a strategic retreat from Bakhmut, Donetsk region, if necessary. This was told on Wednesday, March 1, Advisor to the President of Ukraine Oleksandr Rodnyansky in an interview with the American TV channel CNN.

According to the Presidential Advisor, Russia's armed forces are now trying to surround Bakhmut. To do this, they use Wagner PECs who are better trained than regular Russian troops. However, the Ukrainian military continues to keep the city. "Our military is obviously going to weigh all the options. So far, they keep the city, but if they need, they will retreat strategically - because we are not going to sacrifice all our people just like that," Rodnyansky said.

The Presidential Advisor also noted that the western district of the city is well fortified. Therefore, even if the Armed Forces leaves Bakhmut, the Russians will not be able to move forward quickly. "They will not be mistaken, our counter -offenses will not be far off soon," - summed up Rodnyansky. It should be noted that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has already assumed the withdrawal of the Armed Forces from Bakhmut.

On February 19, the head of state stated that it is important for Kiev to keep Bakhmut, but "not at any cost. " On February 28, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar announced that the city of Bakhmut of Donetsk region is the epicenter of hostilities where the invaders concentrate their forces. According to her, the Russians seek to enter the borders of Donetsk region and leave no hope of seizing the whole territory of Ukraine.

However, despite the advantage of living strength and intensity of fighting, the losses of the invaders are much higher than the Armed Forces. Ukrainian units report to the destruction of up to 80% of the Wagner. On the same day, on February 28, the fighter of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade "Cold Yar" said that in Bakhmut there was a tense situation for the Ukrainian forces of defense.

Earlier, on February 27, the commander of a separate tactical group of "Magyara birds" Robert Brody said that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was trying to achieve the operational environment of Bakhmut. According to him, the enemy strikes the city with artillery, tanks, RSZV, mortars, and the last few days have connected aviation. The hostile planes fly 3-4 times a night.
