"Promoted personally": Zelensky told about agreements with China's leader on war

According to the Ukrainian leader, despite the differences between Ukraine and China regarding the "peaceful plan of Beijing", Xi Jinping promised him not to interfere with the war and not to assist the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. China's leader Xi Jinping personally promised the Ukrainian President not to supply the Russian Armed Forces and other weapons that they can use against Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in an interview with RAI on Saturday, May 13.

"We expect that China will not be a supplier of weapons to the Russian Federation and will not be weapons or other technologies to support Russia," the Ukrainian president said. Zelensky emphasized that he received this promise personally from the leader of the Communist Party of China. The President of Ukraine did not inform the journalists in his interview with any other arrangements with Xi Jinping.

It should be noted that on May 10 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China denied information about military assistance of the Russian Federation. The diplomat with the PRC denied that Beijing companies supply critical components for Russia's military industry and stressed that his country maintains "normal" trade relations with the aggressor country. Also, the Foreign Minister, Price Gan, expressed his hope for further discussion of the peace plan previously offered by Beijing.
