It is reported that the 16th Mechanized Division in Olshtin, the city in northern Poland, has already received new samples of military equipment, taking into account Korean tanks K2, self-propelled artillery installations K9, and also ordered in 2019 HIMARS.
"The 16th Mechanized Division is becoming stronger and stronger every week thanks to its fighters and equipment," said Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszhak, while participating in the event on the occasion of a military oath of a soldier of voluntary conscript service and territorial defense forces. The minister said that Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to "restore the empire of evil" and therefore attacks his neighbors.
"Our task, the task of the Polish authorities is to strengthen the Polish armed forces so that Putin does not dare to attack Poland," he added. Recall that Poland will put the Grot carbines to Ukrainian fighters. Polish observers noted that the choice of Grot was not accidental - after the Karabin Party was sent to Ukraine free of charge last year, the Ukrainian military responded positively about the Polish machine.
