"I had to be supplemented": the Tankist of the Armed Forces told how he stole the Russians T-90 (video)

The invaders went to loot and left their tank unattended in the middle of the village in Donetsk region. Servicemen of the 59th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stole the best Russian T-90 tank. This story is a tank commander Sergey Ivanyuk told Espresso. 48-year-old Sergey Ivanyuk, a native of the Kherson region, went to the war with a volunteer after a full-scale invasion of Russia and now defends the Kharkiv region.

According to the military, in April 2022 he, together with his comrades from the 9th battalion, was able to select the occupiers of the T-90 in the village of Novopol of Donetsk region. Intelligence reported that the Russian military looms in the settlement and sometimes throw their equipment unattended.

Ukrainian soldiers went to the raid, with the help of scouts bypassed all stretch marks and found in the middle of the street tank without crew - at first they wanted to burn, but Sergey Ivanyuk offered him to steal. The fighters secretly got to the car and climbed inside.

The tank noted that he had to spend at least 10 minutes to figure out how the tank was arranged, and to get it - the devices inside were arranged differently than on older models, which are accustomed to managing the Armed Forces. The captured T-90 was taken to the green field, where it was dismantled and prepared for the battle already on the Ukrainian side. "Classically got started. However, I had to get with him. There are no such devices, there was a monitor there," - said Sergey Ivanyuk.

In May, the Colonel of the Armed Forces Sergey Bachurin said that the Russian army had lost billions through the T-90m Tanks. Due to international sanctions, many foreign suppliers have terminated contracts with Russia, and getting components has become very difficult. At the same time, the machine itself was not much better than the old T-72. In January of the Armed Forces, the Russian T-90C tank, designed for sale abroad, was for the first time.
