Supporting Ukraine, the world supports the protection against war, because the source of aggression - outside our borders - the appeal of Vladimir Zelensky to the Federal Assembly and the people of the Swiss Confederation

Thank you very much, Mr. Kandinas, Mr. Swick, for good words about Ukraine and our defense. Now that we protect our people's lives from Russian blows and overcome the consequences of terrible crimes of this war, including the largest ecocide in Europe, we need maximum unity. The unity of all who together share the key values ​​with us: the value of life, the value of freedom, the value of law and the value of respect for every nation, every community and every person.

When the unity is maximal, then solidarity is as effective as possible. And if so - life, freedom, right, and respect will be defeated. And today I turn to you just to talk about this unity. Dear members of the Federal Meeting! Dear people in Switzerland! The soul of the values ​​that unite us with you is peace. Peace! Ukraine has never been a source of any invading wars.

And even now, although it sounds somewhat paradoxical, Ukrainian land is a territory of peace, because the source of this war, the source and cause of aggression - outside our borders. Just imagine it . . . Each night, instead of falling asleep normally, our people check in the news, whether there is a warning that Russian bombing aviation goes on the turn of launching rockets over the Caspian Sea or somewhere.

It is more than one and a half thousand kilometers from our land! There the war stands on the wings. And when it is clear that there will be another Russian rocket, there will be another Russian attack, people immediately put children to sleep, for example, in the hallway, where there are no windows and therefore safer, or go to shelter. Imagine what it is… live in communities that borders with Russia.

Our border - three regions - constantly suffering from purely terrorist shelling from the Russian territory. Almost every day and daily. Cities, villages, houses, schools, churches, markets, enterprises - all . . . They are fired across the border from the territory of Russia from artillery or mortars, rockets or managed airbags . . . It is a death or a threat of death that comes to our land from Russia.

Hundreds of Ukrainian families have lost their relatives due to the strikes of Iranian Dronov-Kamikadze-"Shahanedov", which Russians launch in our cities almost every night. Fortunately, thanks to the defensive assistance of our partners - and we are grateful for it - now we can knock down most of the Shahmed. But unfortunately, not everyone. They take away the lives of our people, constantly destroy our infrastructure! And all this is also the death that came from Russia.

There is no absolutely nothing in this cruel war on our land that would do our land, it is our people, our Ukraine that is the source of war or the territory of those who want to seize something from another people. We protect our people's lives, our freedom, our independence, our values. Peace for Ukrainian children! It came to our peaceful land by those who burn cities and villages and turn everything it touches on.

This from Russia came to Ukraine those who still occupy the Zaporozhye Nuclear Station and cynically use it as a cover for constant shelling of our cities. It came from Russia to Ukraine who blew up the dam and other structures of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, causing a man -made disaster and a tremendous crime against people and nature, and they did it in the occupied territory.

Any impartial look will testify one thing: if Russia did not bring war to our peaceful Ukrainian land, then there would be no war. The source of evil and death is outside our borders. Supporting us, the world supports the protection against war. That is why solidarity with our people show, in particular, even those nations with which we did not have meaningful relations until February 24, 2022, when Russia turned hybrid aggression against our country into an open full -scale genocide war.

I thank every package of sanctions against Russia that limit Russian terrorist potential. I thank the world for every unit of weapon that helps save people from Russian terror! I thank every frozen asset of the Russian state and those persons whose collaboration with the Kremlin would not become a terrorist state . . .

All this helps restrict aggression-both weapons for us, and sanctions against Russia, which are constantly growing and do not allow it to adapt to The pressure of the world, and yet, justice for Ukrainians and the world. The justice we are approaching by creating a tribunal on Russian aggression. I am grateful to you, Switzerie, for not being indifferent to the grief that Russia throws on our land with its aggression.

You have supported common European sanctions against Russia, and this is an important solidarity, as sanctions are bringing the finals of this aggression closer. They should be strengthened. I know that you have a discussion on weapons re -export permits for Ukraine. And I want every participant, every participant in the discussion remembers one fact: we ask in the world weapons, so that our Ukrainian territory is again the territory of peace. All our land, all our people . . .

Only for that! It is as provided by international law. The way the speaker said at the beginning at the beginning: the international order based on the rules should guarantee the will for every nation. We are not a source of aggression, not the territory of the war and not some conflict zone. We are a country that has always appreciated and valued peace and you know it. Against such aggression, our peace can only withstand weapons.

Last year - in the fall, at the G19 summit - I presented the Ukrainian formula of peace. Different states, different leaders are already involved in efforts to implement the formula. It is designed so that everyone in the world can choose for themselves the component of peace and safety recovery that can help implement the most effectively. There are partners who have chosen radiation and food security.

There are partners who are ready to help with the return of children whom Russian invaders have been deported into the aggressor and hiding from their relatives and Ukraine. Thousands and thousands of children stolen by Russia! We have everyone to return them home, return to Ukraine. There are partners who are ready to help with the restoration of justice and with protection against ecocid and demining. In March, in our conversation with Mr.

Switzerland, Mr Berce, I presented the points of the formula and our approach to its implementation. And now I invite you all, ladies and gentlemen, all of you, Switzer's, join the preparation of the Global Peace Summit and show your leadership in the formula in which you consider your national experience the most useful for the world and peace. The world went through various wars, and the more war made the destruction of life, the greater the realization that protection against aggression and prevention of aggression needed efforts - collective and solidarity. We are now defending ourselves from aggression that imitates the worst wars of the past and seeks the best technologies of today to terrorize people, states and even continents. You will not stop anything but unity.
