In Russia want to make UAVs for intelligence and research: he will be able to run rockets

So far, they have made a plywood and foam prototype, but they promise the test in the spring. Russian scientists from MDTU. ME Baumana is working on a system that will help you launch research missiles for exploration and study of the atmosphere, writes "Izvestia". The UAV prototype has already been developed and will be tested in the spring. The drone, according to scientists, will be able to start outside landfills or special sites, which will save money for launch.

The UAV itself is launched by catapult, and the engines are activated after starting. By delivering the rocket to the desired height, the drone returns to the base with a parachute. The device is planned to be equipped with two electrical engines in the back of the fuselage, so that they do not damage the rocket torch. And the drone itself is designated with aerodynamics with a trapezoidal wing, which will serve for the maximum height and speed of lifting.

The rocket will be placed on the outer suspension from the bottom of the device. So far, the antip is made of plywood and plastic, and the drone itself is planned to be made relatively small: wingspan 1. 7 m, weight - 9 kg, speed - 25 m/s. The main claim of the critics of the prototype lies in low useful load that can be carried by UAV. It can be equipped with a rocket weighing only 1. 5 kg, with a built -in camera, for example. But for serious research, this is not enough.
