Minus nearly 2,000 tanks in Ukraine: the Russian Federation refused to hold tank biathlon

The interlocutor of the newspaper reported that the decision was approved to hold army international games every two years, and therefore the competition will be canceled this year, and the following games were scheduled for 2024. Another source reports that the decision was approved a few weeks ago.

According to him, in 2023 the army was planned to be held not only in Russia, but also in other countries that expressed a desire to participate in the competition. Previously, similar games were held in the territory of 12 countries, including Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, China and others. More than 260 teams from 35 countries participated. In total, about 6. 5 thousand people took part in the Army Games.

According to April 18, which was published on the Oryx project, which documents the confirmed losses of the Russian and Ukrainian parties, Russia has lost more than 10,055 units of military equipment per year. In particular, the Russian Federation lost 1902 tanks, of which 1157, 544 were destroyed, 102 were abandoned and 99 were damaged. The second place in the losses were BMP. Russia lost 2305 units, of which 1496 were destroyed, 608 were captured, 129 left and damaged 70.

The largest number of tanks (about 100 units) has lost Russia during a counter -offensive of the Armed Forces near Kharkiv, which took place in September 2022.
