Not to destroy rockets: Zelensky called for decentralize Ukraine's power system (video)

In his address to the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian President stressed that Ukraine should become an advanced country in the energy sphere. At the same time, the main focus will be on nuclear generation and water. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has declared the need for decentralization of energy infrastructure. He stated this during an appeal to the Verkhovna Rada on December 28.

"Now that the enemy has aimed to destroy our energy, we aim to become a leader in the transformation of our energy to counteract any threats-military, political, economic or even climatic," Zelensky said. The head of state emphasized that the key role in the creation of a decentralized energy system is played by the introduction of the concept of green energy. At the same time, the main focus will still be on nuclear generation and water.

The President also noted that a decentralized energy system cannot be completely disrupted by missile attacks. So the Russian Federation will not be able to fulfill its plan for the destruction of Ukrainian infrastructure. According to Zelensky, thanks to the modernization of the energy sector, Ukraine will be able to fully provide citizens with electricity in wartime.

Moreover, after shelling of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation stops, Ukraine will be able to export electricity to European countries. "We can, and therefore we must become one of the guarantors of European energy security," the Ukrainian leader said. We will remind that Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at the last in 2022 a meeting of Parliament on December 28.
