The IAEA head is going to visit the Zaporozhye NPP occupied by the Russians - Kuleba

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that he personally spoke with the Chairman of the International Atomic Energy Agency on how to counteract security threats through Russian aggression. The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Raphael Marianne Grossi said he was ready to personally head the delegation of the department to the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant occupied by Russian troops.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba told about it on Twitter. According to him, he spoke from Gross on the phone. Kuleba recalled the importance of such a visit, as it will help maintain the security of the region that is threatened by aggression from Russia. "Raphael Marian Grosssey informed me that in response to the invitation of Ukraine, he is ready to head the IAEA delegation to the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant," Kuleba wrote.

The IAEA has not commented this statement yet. It should be noted that Energoatom said in Telegram this morning that the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant works with a risk of violation of radiation and fire safety standards. "Periodic shelling of the Russian troops with the RSSS caused a serious risk to the safe functioning of the station," the department said.

They also wrote that on July 5, through the shelling of the station by Russian troops, one of the power units worked out emergency protection. One of the three power units has been disconnected. On August 6, three radiation monitoring sensors were damaged by the invaders of the ZPP. On August 11, the invaders fired at the fire department located behind the territory of the ZPE. On August 13, the injury also received an open 750 kV (VRP-750) switchgear.

We will remind that the UN supported the MAIA mission to the Zaporizhzhya NPP. The United Nations is ready to support the IAEA mission to the Zaporizhzhya NPP, if it is approved by the Ukrainian and Russian sides. Focus also wrote that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced a man -made disaster at the Zaporozhye NPP on August 19.

According to the agency of the aggressor state, the Ukrainian authorities want to provoke a provocation during the visit of the UN Secretary General Anthony Guterresh to Ukraine. It was also reported that Reznikov voiced the purpose of shelling of the ZPP from the Russian Federation. He noted that shelling of the ZPE is a provocation of Russian invaders and playing on "nuclear nerves" around the world. In Zaporizhzhya Ova, 400,000 people were warned about the evacuation in the event of a NPP.
