According to recent measures, which came into force on June 29, British lawyers will be prohibited from providing consulting services to Russian companies on certain business agreements. This is an additional step aimed at Moscow's economic isolation. British officials have suggested that the sanctions imposed may influence Russia's ability to receive legal consultations on a wide range of issues, including trade agreements between international corporations and international monetary lending.
The Ministry of Justice of the United Kingdom, announcing the introduction of restrictions, noted that Russia depends largely on Western countries in the field of legal expertise. Earlier, the United Kingdom exported legal services to Russian businesses worth about £ 56 million a year. It should be reminded that on June 19, the United Kingdom has made changes to the legislation that will allow it to continue sanctions against Russia until the Russian Federation pays full compensation to Ukraine.
