They will not be sent back. Netherlands ready to take Russians who run away from mobilization

The Secretary of State for Shelter and Migration of the Netherlands Eric Van der Burg said that their country would definitely "not return" home to Russians who would flee from mobilization. He stated this on Friday during a meeting of the Council of Ministers, NRC reports. Back in late June, he stated that Russian conscripts who refuse to fight in Ukraine or deserted would be allowed to stay in the country until the end of 2022.

Video of the Day "The key question is what happens when sending them back: do they take them with outstretched arms, or are they dangerous?" Said the official. The Chairman of the European Council, Charles Michel, believes that Europe should allow the entry to the Russians who do not want to execute the order of Vladimir Putin's dictator and flee from the Russian Federation after the mobilization was announced.

From September 19, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have banned the entry of Russian citizens with tourist Schengen visas issued by EU countries. Now Finland actually remains the only country-neighbor of the Russian Federation, through which Russians can get into Europe on a Schengen visa. On September 23, the Finland government said that it would be "significantly restricted" by the entry of the Russians.
