War is not a problem: Ukrainians remain satisfied with their lives

The most satisfied with their lives, even in the war, young people between the ages of 16 and 25, as well as residents of the capital. Despite the war, 30% of citizens have a positive assessment of their lives in Ukraine, and another 39% of Ukrainians consider their lives satisfactory. This is evidenced by the survey "Barometer of quality of life", which was conducted by the European Business Association together and a research company Gradus Research.

It is noted that the total life experience in Ukraine satisfactorily evaluates 39% of respondents, the other 31% are unsatisfactory. The best grades are recorded among a young audience aged 16 to 25 and Kyivans. Satisfaction with your work and income levels is an important factor in influencing living standards.

In total, 34% of the total audience and 69% of the business audience are satisfied with the current place of work, while 33% of the total and 12% of the business audience have some discontent for self-realization. "Given the circumstances and duration of the war, a picture of life satisfaction in Ukraine could be worse, but instead we see positive assessments. This indicates that society is in a situation of mobilization of internal resources.

In other studies we also record that most citizens believe that The country is moving in the right direction, and it motivates people to work and keep the economic front despite all the difficulties, "said Eugene Bliznyuk, sociology, founder and director of the research company Gradus Research. At the same time, the estimates of the level of income of Ukrainians are significantly worse.

Even among business audiences, 38% consider their income not enough for quality life, although 52% call sufficient and 10% even more than sufficient. Among the general audience, the majority, namely 85% consider their level of income insufficient, only 13% - sufficient and 2% higher than sufficient. At the same time, 76% of respondents earn less than 20 thousand hryvnias a month, and another 53% - less than 10 thousand hryvnias.

"We are pleased to note that among the representatives of the business community, positive estimates of living standards, satisfaction with their own work and income level. In this context, the role and contribution of responsible employers is very important," Anna Derevvyanko, Executive Director of the European Business Association, added. We will remind, at the end of 2022 the Ukrainians told sociologists how they see the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
