Grain Agreement in danger: Ukraine calls the international community to press on the Russian Federation

The UN Secretary General sent a letter to the head of the Kremlin, in which he asked to assist the continuation of grain agreements. Ukraine thinks that this is only possible with international pressure on Russia. UN Secretary General Anthony Guterres proposed Russian President Vladimir Putin "The Way aimed at improving, continuing and expanding the" Black Sea Initiative. This was stated on April 25 by the Deputy Official Representative of the UN Farhaan Hak, Reuters writes.

Guterrish made his proposal in a letter he asked for Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to pass Putin. In addition, the letters were sent to Ukraine and Turkey. According to the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak, Guterrish's proposal can only succeed in the case of collective pressure of the international community on Russia.

"The absolutely justified Guterrish initiative can only be successful if the international community has collectively put pressure on Russia," Podolyak said. According to him, Ukraine will continue to follow the arrangements with Turkey and the UN. It will deliver grain cargo to the destination, solving the problem of global food supply. Podolyak also denied the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Russia that the Armed Forces allegedly tried to attack Russian ships in the Black Sea.

It should be reminded that on April 24, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation declared that Ukraine allegedly attacked the bases of the Black Sea Fleet near the occupied Sevastopol. The department emphasized that the non -exit boats launched from the port of Odessa, determined for the "grain agreement". The invaders called attacks in Sevastopol "terrorist actions of the Kiev regime" and stated that they would not continue the "grain agreement" after May 18 this year.
