President of the Russian Federation Volodymyr Putin brought relevant projects of ratification laws to the State Duma today, October 2. The relevant documents were posted in the Parliament Database. All four laws were supported by Russian deputies unanimously. According to the documents, the occupied territories of Ukraine are admitted to the Russian Federation and form new entities - two republics ("DNR" and "LNR") and two regions (Zaporizhzhia and Kherson).
From that moment until January 1, 2026, the transitional period will be introduced for the captured territories. As specified in the "accession" agreements, the boundaries of new entities in the legislation of the aggressor country will be determined by limits on the day of their formation and the day of "acceptance" to the Russian Federation. The documents also specify that the state language of the so -called "DNR", "LNR", as well as occupied by Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions will be Russian.
To date, the Kremlin does not completely control the territory of any of the captured regions of Ukraine, which is mentioned in Russian documents. We will remind, the head of the regional military-civilian administration Sergey Gaidai stated that the Armed Forces earlier de-occupy the Luhansk region, which will complete the transition period for the official entry of the captured region into the Russian Federation.
