The auction passed on the streets of the city, and the man who brought watermelon said that the berry was taken out of the bare pier of the Kherson region. Berry, weighing 8. 4 kilograms, went to the city for 8 days, overcoming more than 900 kilometers. "Watermelon went here for 8 days and instead of a direct combination of 170 kilometers, he overcame 900 . . . This is a real Kherson watermelon: delicious, sweet, bitter in the soul, but wonderful in taste," he said before the auction.
Bidding for the purchase of large berries began with 200 UAH and reached a mark of 2 000 UAH, after which it was sold. The money received from the sale will go to the aid of the Ukrainian army. We will remind, on August 1 the media wrote that in Kherson Russian military stole a barge that transported watermelons to Kyiv. According to journalists, the barge belonged to the company "Nibulon" of entrepreneur Alexei Vadatursky, who died during the Russian shelling of Nikolaev.
