"Catastrophic Consequences": The occupiers declared the production of kaolin and zirconium near Mariupol

The Russians, according to the mayor Petro Andryushchenko, decided to rob Ukrainian resources, which were tried to obtain the members of the Yanukovych family before the Revolution of Dignity. The Mariupol occupation administration announced production in the kaolin and zirconium, which can have catastrophic consequences for ecology. Petro Andryushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of the captured city, reported this in his Telegram-channel.

According to him, the occupiers announced the production of kaolin in the Mariupol district. The process in the captured territories should start in the spring of 2023. Petro Andryushchenko believes that the Ukrainian resource will be plundered by the Russians, and to control Kaolin Kaolin production "the head of the DNR government" Vitaliy Hotsenko and "Deputy Head of the DNR government" Yevgeny Solntsev.

In addition, according to the mayor of Mariupol, the invaders plan to obtain zirconium in the area of the settlement of Mykilsk. "Yanukovych's family plans, which were initially thwarted by the Revolution of Dignity and later by numerous protests, are realized by the occupiers. The consequences of such production will be critical for the ecology of the entire Mariupol district. However, where the consequences and where the Russian profit added," occupiers' plans in the region.

Separately, the mayor's adviser said that the Russians continue to dismantle destroyed apartment buildings. According to him, "deserts" appear on the site of the former residential areas, and after the Left Bank and the Primorsky district, the occupiers began demolition of buildings in the historic part of Mariupol.

"It can be clearly concluded that the dismantling is moving in two directions-potentially interesting parts for developers (Primorsky district) and concealment of the consequences of war crimes (Central district, given the selectivity of dismantling)," Andryushchenko added in Telegram channel. In early January, Petro Andryushchenko reported that the Left Bank in Mariupol no longer exists because of the mass demolition of destroyed apartment buildings.
