The continuation of hostilities is mainly supported by retired men. The majority of Russians still feel "pride" for the country, and only 5% is shame due to the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In Russia, the level of support for a full -scale war in Ukraine is reduced. This is evidenced by the data of the March sociological survey of the Russian "Levada-Center". The overall level of war support is high, especially among older people.

About half of the respondents - for the transition to peace talks, and as much - for the continuation of the fighting. Levada-center data showed that 41% of respondents support Russian troops in Ukraine. In February 2023 and in 2022, support was at 48%. Against war - 20% of respondents, and in February there were 17%.

More than all hostilities of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine are supported by those who are constantly watching Russian television (such 79%) and supporters of Russian Presidential Policy Vladimir Putin (81%). Interestingly, the Great War is mostly supported by people of retirement age - older than 55 years (79% of women and 77% of men).

The main percentage of disagreements - those who do not like the work of Putin (26%), youth - 58%among respondents 18-24 years and those who do not trust any source of news (62%). There are also differences in gender responses - men are 10% more supporting a war (46% against 36%). It is noteworthy that the active support of fighting is characteristic of the province (43% in villages), in Moscow only 36% approve Putin's actions.

Peace negotiations support a little more than the continuation of the war - 48% against 42% of respondents in March. Since the end of February, no significant changes have been observed. The idea of ​​a peaceful resolution of the conflict was supported by young people, women and tuned against the current authorities. Most Russians who are involved in social inquiry (43%) experience "pride in Russia" because of the war in Ukraine.

Another 35% feel anxiety, fear and horror and 10% - anger, indignation and shock. Only 5% of Russians feel shame for their country. The number of Russians, who are afraid of announcement of general mobilization, also decreased. Last autumn, there were 65%, and in March - 57%. 39% (against 31% in October 2022) are not afraid of general mobilization. The All-Russian Levada-Center poll was conducted on March 23-29 by a representative all-Russian sample of urban and rural population.

A total of 1633 people aged 18 years and older in 137 settlements, 50 actors in Russia. The research was conducted in respondents' homes by interviewing. Recall that in Ukraine more than half believe in the rapid collapse of Russia. Such sentiment was influenced by explosions and detentions of saboteurs from the Russian Volunteer Corps in the Bryansk region. Western analysts are confident in the inevitable defeat of Putin and his military in Ukraine.
