Want to know the truth about the war? That's how intelligence works

Sergiy Rakhmanin MP (Voice), Member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence What should a person who should get information that is as close as possible to reality is a topic that interests everyone. Therefore, there is an incredible number of different sources of information that is trying to talk about war. The person who educates critical thinking first chooses several sources of information, completely different.

People who read one or two telegram channels or watch the sole news marathon exclusively. Read a few dozen sources of information. Then, gradually checking this information, you will see something like this: this source is already 2-3 times lied, this channel of information is not being created, but contains some hints that allow you to systematize information. Video of the day is actually the most objective information is obtained by applying sources of information one on one.

So intelligence works, and this is how journalism works, by and large. If you do not have a primary source (and you can't have it, because you cannot call the Armed Forces General Staff, just like the RF General Staff, or to the CIA, or to Mi-6 and ask how it really is), then You have the opportunity to receive information through legal channels. And by imposing you will get for yourself some averaged picture from which you can draw conclusions.

Is it worth reading the posts of terrorist Igor Strelkov-Girkin? I would not call him a propagandist. This, by the way, is that it distinguishes it qualitatively from some other Russian bloggers. It is clear that it is the enemy of Ukraine, trusting 70% because it writes is not worth it. But it is interesting because it is a reflection of certain moods, including the moods of those people who are fighting against Ukraine in its territory and with whom it has contact.

That is, this information can also be as you can use by analyzing the overall flow of information. This means that by taking some data even the enemy, you can compare them with other sources and get to some information that will give you an idea of the real picture. If Girkin, for example, indicates the insufficient complete set of Russian BTG and that they have the losses of mobilized from Donetsk and Luhansk regions as cannon meat, then it is true.

This does not mean that everything he says is true. But as the primary source of certain news - yes, has the right to exist. You just need to check this information, comparing it with another. Once again I say: both journalists and scouts are in this way. They try to get the maximum amount of information from different sources, but then checking, comparing, critically, choosing an option that gives food for their own conclusions. I emphasize - for our own.

So you should not be a repeater of any information received. Important: The number of sources from where you get the information cannot be huge. Otherwise you just get confused. And it is clear that it should not be seen as the truth in the last instance, first of all, those sources of information that are propaganda (regardless of the minus sign or plus sign). That is, turn your head. The enemy should also be read, because the enemy should be known in the face.
