The Russian TU-95 did not enter the US and Canada airspace, remaining international. On Tuesday, October 17, the US Air Force fighters shot down and intercepted two strategic bombers of the Russian Federation Tu-95 along with American staff Alaska. This was reported by the North America Air Force Command. As specified, Tu-95 (Bear-H in NATO Classification) entered and operated in the Alaska air defense zone.

However, Russian planes did not go to the sovereign airspace of the United States and Canada, remaining in the international one. "Norad monitors and accurately identifies foreign military aircraft that fall into the air defense zone.
