"For the barbaric war": EU is preparing a ninth package of sanctions against

According to the head of the European Commission Ursula von Der Lyen, Europe will hit the Russian Federation in the most painful places to stop fighting in Ukraine. The United States, meanwhile, partially weaken anti -Russian sanctions. The European Union prepares a ninth package of sanctions against Russia. The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Lien said at a press conference during a visit to Finland, The Guardian writes.

According to her, the EU is working to strike the Russian Federation in the most painful places and to weaken the ability to fight in Ukraine. "I can announce that we are working in full swing over the ninth package of sanctions," von Der Lyen said. The Head of the European Commission is confident in the rapid affirmation of global prices for Russian oil with G7 countries and other partners. "We will not calm down until Ukraine wins Vladimir Putin and his illegal and barbaric war," she summed up.

Ursula von Der Lyen did not give details about what restrictions a new round of EU sanctions may contain. Recall that on November 23, the European Parliament recognized Russia with a country-existence of terrorism. The MEPs consider it necessary to develop significant sanctions and to create conditions for international isolation of the aggressor. The United States partially weakened sanctions against the Russian Federation.

US firms can carry out operations with Russian sub -companies to guarantee the safety of civil aviation flights. Despite talking about Russian oil procurement restrictions, some European countries continue to do so. Bulgaria has recently agreed with Lukoil on the export of Russian oil products bypassing embargo. In November, exports of diesel fuel from Russia to the EU increased greatly.
