"Need to see": in the air force told how to increase the efficiency of air defense (video)

In the dark, in the absence of a radar, according to a spokesman of the command of Yuri Ignat, it will be much more difficult to see the target in the air, but it is possible to get out of the situation with the help of SDRs and fighters. The spokesman of the Air Force Command Yuri Ignat shared the nuances of the work of mobile air defense at night. He told about why the targets are becoming more difficult on the air of the TEMARAFON on Friday, March 24.

According to him, the work of mobile air defense groups is much more complicated with the onset of night. It is more difficult for them to notice the target in the air if there is no radar. They show great efficiency during the day. That is why, as noted by the AFS spokesman, missiles, UAVs and other goals at night are beaten by means of radar attachments to the target. In particular, it is about SPR or fighter. They cope well with the tasks.

"Mobile fire groups are armed with both anti -aircraft guns, and multi -caliber machine guns, MSRCs, but the goal must be seen. At night this work is complicated. Yes, there are spotlights and certain means to detect goals. However, not everything is so simple and the distance of the aforementioned weapons is quite small. This complicates the work of mobile air defense at night and in the conditions of poor visibility, " - said Yuri Ignat.
