Putin Reminder: Hague launched a tram in support of Ukraine (photo)

The "Ukrainian" tram runs past the Peace Palace in the Hague, where the UN International Court of Justice and the Arbitral Court's Permanent Court are located. In the city of Hague, located in the West of the Netherlands, a tram appeared, the design of which is aimed at supporting the United24 fundraising platform. About it reports "Ukrinform".

"Any donation or financial contribution to the United24 platform is an invaluable gesture of Ukraine's support," said the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Maxim Kononenko. According to the correspondent, tram # 1 runs the main streets of the Dutch cities of the Hague and Delft. The first city in which such transport was launched was Vienna later, Vilnius joined it.

The trams used motifs from the works of Ukrainian designer Georgy Narbut, who is known for the creation of Ukrainian banknotes and postal stamps. Designer Maria Norazian, as well as the Kharkiv Grafprom Design Studio, worked on visualization of the project. The initiators of the project Oleg Verbovy and Vitaliy Lytvyn confessed that they were inspired by the inscription on the trolleybuses in Vilnius, who stared "Putin, Hague waiting for you" to cooperate with the Dutch city.

Ambassador Maxim Kononenko notes that the route of the mentioned vehicle can be a reminder for Vladimir Putin that he will not be able to avoid punishment for aggression against Ukraine. "It is symbolic that the route of the Ukrainian tram passes past the building of the Palace of the World in the Hague, which houses the UN International Court of Justice and the Arbitral Court of the UNA," Kononenko said.

Recall that Hague intends to ask the European Union to temporarily lift sanctions from the Russian Federation because the city could not find a new gas supplier. The city authorities urge to make an exception to the current agreement with the Russian Federation until January 1, 2023.
