The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar told this on Telegram. According to her, the Russians were attacking almost all day in Bakhmut. "The enemy has pulled most of his reserves in Bakhmut and significantly intensified the group," she said.

Nevertheless, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to control the southwestern part of the city. In addition, Russian invaders tried to attack the surrounding area north of Bakhmut, but there were defense forces. Moreover, as reported by the painter, the Armed Forces were able to move 500 meters at the Armed Forces. For example, fierce fighting continued in the southern suburbs of the city during the day.

"The enemy went on the offensive and tried to return the lost territories, but suffered losses and failed to fulfill his tasks," the Deputy Minister said. According to her, in some sites, Ukrainian troops advanced even 1 kilometer. "The Bakhmut and suburbs defense and the suburbs are performing. We win time for certain planned actions. The command of the Khortytsia, in the area of ​​responsibility of which Bakhmut direction, keeps the situation under control," - wrote the painter.

It should be reminded that on May 18 it became known that the Armed Forces created a bridgehead to continue the offensive under Bakhmut. In the 3rd OSHBR reported that the losses of the invaders were fifty killed and up to hundreds of wounded, several other of them were captured by Ukrainian defenders. It was also reported that the chairman of the Wagner PEC Yevhen Prigogin told about the failures of the Russian army near Bakhmut.
