Doctors feared that the patient would crumble from careless touch - he affected ...

Even the bones were burned: the Armed Forces officer received burns for which there is no classification (video)

Doctors feared that the patient would crumble from careless touch - he affected 60% of the skin and all internal organs. Doctors from Ukraine and Finland saved the lives of Ukrainian military Vitaliy Mizin, who received such serious burns that cannot be classified. This became known to the TSN program. Lieutenant Vitaliy Mizin was injured in May 2022 during a missile shelling of the Armed Forces Training Center in Desna village of Chernihiv region.

After the explosion, the building collapsed, and the serviceman fell into the basement where the fire raged. The husband was so seriously injured that no one but the wife of Julia believed in his survival. "He was not only charred with skin, muscles, he had bones, he was injured even by ribs and a spatula," the doctors shared. Vitaliy lost 60% of his skin, he had all the internal organs damaged. Doctors had to amputate their right hand, leg, ribs and one shoulder blade.

The wife recalls that the doctors were afraid to transfer the husband from the gun to the hospital bed, worried that the right side of the body would just crumble. The wounded officer of the Armed Forces spent 40 days at the Kyiv Bar Center, where he was conducted more than a dozen operations, then transferred to a medical institution in Lviv, and from there he was sent to Finland. Finnish doctors transplanted the skin several times, but it was again and again the infection.

Only 104 days after the injury did the doctors informed the military family that his life was no longer threatened. Then Vitaliy Mizin had to undergo rehabilitation, to learn to sit, stand, walk. It so happened that he sat down for the first time, stood on his feet and took the first steps at the same time with his little son Daniel. The fighter is waiting for another operation on the left shoulder, prosthetics of the arm and leg.

According to Vitaliy, it is very difficult to control the body after loss of limbs. "You have a mind that you have a hand, and you want to explain to him that it is not. It is such a struggle, to prove to your body that you have changes," he confessed. To get away from pain and loss, Vitaliy Mizin found himself a hobby-weaving products from a cord-paratrord, later the military learned to cope with this task with one hand.
