According to sociologists, Russians with low levels of scientific literacy distinguish their older age.
Thus, in a group of people over 60 years of age, 33% of respondents gave no more than two correct answers to questions. Among the illiterate are the most common active viewers (43%); Village residents (32%) and people with secondary and lower education (31-55%). High level of scientific literacy is most common among young people (61% of 18-24-year-old gave 5 or more correct answers). The indicator is also affected by active Internet consumption (49%) and higher education (45%).
1,600 Russians aged 18 years took part in the survey conducted by the telephone interview method. The marginal error with a probability of 95% does not exceed 2. 5%.
