Reznikov about the invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine: all countries will seek to have nuclear weapons

According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, the attack of Russia was the result of the mistake of the event - fears not to provoke Moscow and to "do business as always". Now the Kremlin is threatening nuclear missiles and wants to bring it to other countries. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, no country will give up nuclear weapons. Many will try to get it, said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexei Reznikov at the Black Sea Conference on April 13.

The Kremlin is constantly threatened with the use of nuclear weapons and even wants to bring it to other countries (Reznikov referred to plans for Russian President Vladimir Putin to build a storage facility for tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus - ed. ). Ukraine voluntarily gave the third largest nuclear arsenal in the world, receiving the "security guarantee" of the Budapest Memorandum in exchange.

"Let's ask in the honest: after what happened to Ukraine, someone will generally agree to voluntary nuclear disarmament? Maybe, on the contrary, will they try to do everything possible to obtain nuclear weapons by any means?" - asked the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The full -scale military invasion of Russia into Ukraine is the result of the erroneous policy of the Western world not to provoke Moscow and to "conduct business as always".

As the main mistakes, he mentioned the attack on Georgia in August 2008, the capture of Ukrainian Crimea and the beginning of the war in the Donbass. "There was only a postfact (Western countries), forcing the victims of aggression to compromise. These are ideal conditions for the continuation of aggression," the minister said. To remedy the current situation, Reznikov proposes to change the paradigm - to act faster and respond to aggression immediately - not to wait for the consequences.

"You should not be afraid to apply force and sharp sanctions. The aggressor should know what enormous blows are," he summed up. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparov during the conference also called on allies to be decisive on sanctions against the Russian Federation. The annexation of Crimea, she said, taught everyone that Putin perceives conversations as weakness.

"The proposal coming from Ukraine was supported by Romania, Moldova and many other countries - it is necessary to be more decisive when it comes to isolation of Russia," - says First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparov. And the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba initiated the demilitarization of the Black Sea, turning it into a NATO Sea. Recall that the United States began on April 11, large -scale training with Global Thunder.
