"Orban chose his way": Kuleba told why Hungary would not change the pro -Russian position

According to the head of Ukrainian diplomacy - Peter Siarto is the only one with whom he did not communicate with the EU since the full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation. The full -scale invasion of Russia has shown how much European countries are ready to be on the side of Ukraine and support it. As the events of the year showed, virtually all EU countries have taken a pro -Ukrainian position except Hungary, which did not change its pro -Russian orientation.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba told about it. During the dialogue, the head of Ukrainian diplomacy answered the question of which from European countries surprised him after Russia began a full -scale war. "All Europeans except Hungary. Even the Baltic people. Because even Estonia gave us most of the weapons one of the first, it impresses. When the Poles said they would make a hub and provide everyone, it will impress," Kuleba replied.

According to him, ancient friends and skeptics, who previously inclined to Russian interests, became on the side of Ukraine. But among European countries there is Hungary that does not change its pro -Russian position. "It will not change until Victor Orban is in the post of Hungary's Prime Minister. Because he, let's say so, chose his way," the minister said.

At the same time, Kuleba noted that until February 23, he had a Hungarian colleague Peter Siarto had a rather close relationship: the Foreign Ministry had plans to "restart" Ukrainian-Hungarian relations, and there were steps towards this path. However, everything changed after February 24. "I really tried to restart Ukraine's relations with Hungary, and he also did actions in this direction, and in some topics we were moving forward.

But after February 24, he is the only Minister of Foreign Affairs of the EU country, with which I never communicated. I think that this fact speaks for itself, "the Foreign Minister emphasized. We will remind, on December 27 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responded to the statement of Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban that the war in Ukraine will end when the US will cease to support the Armed Forces.
