Woke up. Mazda plans to stop production in the Russian Federation

Japanese Mazda plans to leave Russia for Toyota. The company is going to close production in Vladivostok. Japanese Mazda is considering the possibility of cessation of production in Russia, since failures in the supply chain due to the attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine complicate the work of the enterprise. Nikkei writes about it. Video Day was already stopped, and now Mazda is considering the possibility of full exit from Russia. No decision to stop sales or service has been made.

Mazda produced cars at a joint venture with a local Sollers car manufacturer in Vladivostok by the so -called assembly method, when the details go to local assembly. In combination with the Solllers share, production at the plant reached approximately 29,000 units in 2021. Mazda's plans from exit from the Russian Federation became known after Toyota announced a withdrawal from Russian operations on Friday.
