There is no need to play the Russian Federation: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that Hungary could not call for negotiations

Budapest, according to the speaker of the department Oleg Nikolenko, already had the opportunity to promote peace in Ukraine, but the authorities preferred to take a completely different position. Hungary is not in the position to decide when negotiations on the situation in Ukraine should begin, since Budapest had the opportunity to reach peace before, but preferred to become "on the other side of history.

" This opinion was expressed on February 23 by the spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko in the publication on Facebook. The comment of the Ukrainian diplomat was made against the backdrop of Hungarian Minister Peter Siarto's statements that Presidents Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin "could do a much greater service to humanity if they had been talked to each other.

" The head of Hungarian diplomacy believes that if there is no ceasefire in Ukraine and peace talks will not begin in the near future, then you can expect major problems, including in the context of the threat of man -made disaster. Commenting on the statements of the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Nikolenko noted that Siarto could have done a much greater service to humanity if he stopped playing Russia.

As for negotiations on Ukraine without Ukraine itself, such are possible only in the dreams of individual Hungarian politicians. "Hungary is not in the position to decide when peace talks have to begin. Budapest had the opportunity to help win peace in Ukraine and Europe, but stood on the other side of history," Nikolenko stressed.

At the same time, the diplomat gave advice - if Siarto really cares about the end of the war as soon as possible, he can visit Bratislava before the next visit to Moscow or Minsk. "The current threats in Europe are well aware of Slovakia. We are sure that our Slovak colleagues would be able to give some wise advice," Nikolenko wrote.

It should be reminded that on February 21, Slovakia Minister Rastislav Kacher posted a post on Facebook, where he shot the head of Hungary Viktor Orban in vulgar form for his pro -Russian political sympathies and for war in Ukraine. In response, the Chairman of the Hungarian Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs, Zhleth Nesht advised the coach to contact a psychiatrist.
