"Need tanks and artillery": Zelensky complained about a lack of weapons for the offensive of the Armed Forces

According to the deputy chairman of OP Igor Zhovkva, the level of equipment of the Ukrainian army will not allow success in the promotion at the front. The event should send more armored vehicles and ammunition. The Armed Forces of Ukraine lacks weapons to start a counter -offensive against the Russian army. He said this on May 16 in an interview with the British Sky News, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine (OP) Igor Zhovkva.

"Unfortunately, the level of equipment we have is insufficient to start a counter -offensive. A sufficient number of artillery systems and ammunition is required to liberate Ukrainian territories. Armored vehicles and tanks are needed," the official said. Zhovkva added that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy went to a European tour to ask for additional military assistance packages. Kiev wants the counter -offensive to be as successful as possible.

"It would be a success to release all the captured territories of Ukraine," he stressed. Recall that the President of the Czech Republic Petro Paul called on Western allies to accelerate with the supply of weapons for the Armed Forces, since in the fall the counter -offensive will become impossible due to the weather. The Active Group sociological company conducted a survey on May 13, whether Ukraine is ready for a counter -offensive.
