Russian aggression can and should be stopped only by adequate weapons - the President of Ukraine's appeal

New sanctions against Russia, that is, political and economic weapons. And legal weapons - it is necessary to work even more actively to create a tribunal about the crime of Russia's aggression against Ukraine and to compensate for all the losses caused by this war at the expense of Russian assets. Every Russian rocket against our cities, every Iranian drone that is used by terrorists, is arguments why more weapons are needed. Only weapons neutralize terrorists.

And I am grateful to everyone in the world who really counteracts terror with us. Who speeds up the supply of the necessary means of defense and who is ready to increase the sanction pressure on the terrorist state. In particular, we are expanding our tank coalition - there is a corresponding decision of Canada, I thank it. Already 12 countries are in our tank coalition.

Today, thanks to Ukraine's aircraft systems, and thanks to the professionalism of our soldiers, most Russian missiles and Shahaneda have managed to knock down. It is at least a hundred saved lives and dozens of preserved infrastructure. And I thank our air forces, everyone and everyone who last night, in the morning and afternoon, provided Ukraine's protection from rockets and drones of terrorists.

And especially I would like to mention the soldiers of the 96th Kyiv, the 160th Odessa and 208th Kherson anti-aircraft missile brigades. But unfortunately, it is difficult to provide 100% protection. Moreover, when terrorists use ballistic missiles. Today there were rockets. Unfortunately, there are wounded, there are dead. My condolences to all relatives and loved ones . . . This Russian terror needs asymmetrical answers. A new movement of our forces on the front is needed.

The defeat of terrorists must be defeated. Whatever the Russian invaders plan, our preparation must be stronger. We talk about it with partners. And we discuss this at rates. Today was the same meeting. In detail - about the situation in Donetsk region. Bakhmut, coal and in general the battle for the Donbas. I thank all our units that show the required stability of Ukraine, exhaust the occupier, destroy it. The more Russia will lose in this battle for the Donbas, the less its overall potential.

This applies to the supply of weapons and shells, and the general strengthening of our defense forces. Today, he held operational meetings on the situation in the energy - on the available shortages and recovery after the strikes of terrorists. Repair crews operate at all points where there were hit. As of this time, electricity supply is in most of our regions.

The most difficult situation is in the Odessa region, in Lviv region, in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Sumy and Poltava regions. Energy, public utilities and anyone involved in stabilizing the power system will do everything you need to restore the generation and technical capabilities of supply.
