Pension indexation, military payments and housing and utility tariffs: what will change for Ukrainians since March 1

As early as March 1, Ukraine will increase the amount of pensions in Ukraine, as they are indexed by the new mechanism. In this case, the increase in salaries, as well as the rise in price of the communal, is not expected. In March 2023, there will be several important changes in Ukraine. For example, despite the war, citizens will index pensions, within which payments will increase in almost all pensioners.

The changes will also relate to the mechanism of payment of rewards to Ukrainian military, and in the government they decided that it would be with some social payments. Focus tells what will change for Ukrainians from March 1, 2023. On March 1, Ukraine will start indexing pensions, which will affect more than one million Ukrainians. According to Oksana Zholnovich Ministry of Social Policy, the indexation amount will be about 20%.

According to the Ministry, since March 1, the minimum pension of Ukrainians increases by 400 UAH. Those who have sufficient insurance (35 years for men and 30 years for women) and who receives a pension above the minimum can be estimated at an average of 750 UAH. Military pensioners will receive an average of UAH 1. 4 thousand. Supplements, and citizens with disabilities who are liquidators of the Chernobyl accident - UAH 1. 5 thousand. - maximum indexation redistribution.

The main utility tariffs - for gas, heat, hot water, and until the end of the martial law remain unchanged according to the government's decision. Electricity tariffs are also fixed by at least by the end of the heating season 2023. Now Ukrainians have to pay: the cost of water supply and sewerage services in March 2023 will continue to depend on local water utility tariffs. However, the President's office has already spoken about raising tariffs for the population.

For example, the deputy chairman of the OP Rostislav Shurma believes that there are problems of subsidizing and systematic loss in Ukraine in Ukraine. Therefore, the authorities are already preparing a reform within which "people will pay a fair price and receive compensation from the state. " "The decision will be finalized in the coming months, but the main introductory should be: ordinary citizens who need help should not be injured, the state should help them targeted," Rostislav Shurma said.

In March, the military will be paid under new rules. It is an additional cash remuneration of 100 thousand UAH. and 30 thousand UAH. What will change: also 30 thousand UAH of remuneration is canceled for military units and units outside the fighting areas, as well as terminants, cadets, officers of departments and staffs. As a result, the government had to freeze almost all the amounts of social costs.

Since the state budget -2023 does not have funds for raising wages, there will be no changes: earlier, focus said that in 2023, Ukrainian citizens will continue to make social payments, which expired after February 24, 2022. In particular, payments will be calculated by internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the amount of UAH 2 thousand per adult and 3 thousand UAH per child or person with disabilities. Also we will remind that the average salary of Ukrainians increased by 3%as a result of 2022.
