The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation received new shock drones "Ovod": what you need to know about (video)

Manufacturers have already sent the first batch of units of the Russian army, which are fighting in the Avdeevsky direction. The Russian military in Ukraine received new shock drones "Ovod", made in Russia. The head of the developers team Andriy Ivanov declared it the agency "RIA Novosti". The cost of "Ok" is about 40 thousand rubles (less than $ 500).

According to Andriy Ivanov, aircraft was successfully protested in the occupied territory of Donetsk region, and then sent a party to the units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which are fighting in the Avdiivsky direction. "Ovod" is a quadcopter that works on the principle of "first person" (FIRST Person View, abbreviated - FPV) when the operator in real time receives an image from the camera camera to his monitor or virtual reality glasses.

To the cheap aircraft, the Russians attached a camera, a battery and a large size of ammunition, which should explode during a collision with a target. According to Andrei Ivanov, Ovod received good optics, high speed and protected communication. It also has a closing system required to install shrapnel or pugs-grocery grenades. "Our task is to turn all the well -known multirotor devices into a reliable, inexpensive and efficient device that can perform combat missions," the developer commented.
