The People's Deputy, chairman of the "Servant of the People" party Elena Shuliak, told about it in the ether of the channel "Rada", reports on the party's website. According to her, the Fund will allow the process of payment of compensation to people without waiting for reparations from the Russian Federation. According to Shuliak, the fund will be filled with the funds of the arrested assets of Russian banks and enterprises.
At the same time, the first money is already formed there, they can be used for compensation for destroyed housing this year. For 2022, the fund within the budget for this purpose laid UAH 19 billion, and the next year - UAH 35 billion. "Having these funds in your hands, you can start compensation without waiting for reparation from Russia," Shulyak commented.
According to the People's Deputy, Ukrainians whose homes were destroyed as a result of Russian aggression will receive targets in the form of certificates - they can be exchanged for living spaces. "We will not restrict our citizens, they will be free to choose the settlement where the housing will be located," she summarized. Earlier, Elena Shuliak told that Ukrainians who buy new real estate for their compensation for them will not be able to resell this housing for some time.
