The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on February 24 began an invasion of Ukraine without being prepared properly - Reznikov

According to the Minister of Defense, Russia did not form shock groups, which led to the liberation of Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. On February 24, the units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation made a full -scale invasion of Ukraine without preparing for it properly. The Minister of Defense Alexei Reznikov stated in an interview with Ukrainian Truth.

According to him, Ukrainian intelligence informed the country's leadership about the threat of a full -scale invasion of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Reznikov notes that the security forces did not call specific commencement dates. The intelligence provided the corridor when the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation can invade Ukraine from February 20 to February 25.

And the initial tactics of the occupation troops, according to Reznikov, indicate that Russia did not prepare for the beginning of full -scale fighting and did not form shock groups. "They went on the offensive without being completely ready. So their logistics chains were cut so easily. The same thing happened in Belarus. In terms of martial arts, we saw that they were not ready, and therefore we said that to form a final shock group They need another time - a week, two, three.

The Russians really went on an attack without forming these shock groups. The consequence of this was a consistent de -occupation of the Kyiv region, Chernihiv and Sumy region, " - continued the Defense Minister in communication with journalists. At the same time, Reznikov refused to answer the question of why the units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation came to Kherson and Melitopol so quickly, and Mariupol was in the blockade.

According to him, he cannot answer because he is a civilian defense minister. Rennikov also called information about the possible demining of Chongar and bridges when leaving the occupied Crimea and added that such issues are within the competence of military leadership. "The military is clearly aware that it is a matter of military, and they are interested in conducting such an investigation.

The negligence of someone - but this is not exactly to the civilian part of the authorities, it is a matter for managing the security and defense sector. That is, people in the shoulder straps responsible for this direction, "Reznikov added, commenting on the possible demining of Chongar and conducting an investigation into the said issue. Earlier, Alexei Reznikov revealed the losses of the Armed Forces during a full -scale war with Russia.
