The judge of Bohdan Lviv was deducted from the Supreme Court for Russian citizenship (document)

According to the Chairman of the Supreme Court Vsevolod Knyazev, Bogdan LVLV forced Ukrainians to doubt the "objectivity, independence and impartiality" of the institution. The judge of the Supreme Court of Bohdan Lviv was deducted from the state of employees after information about his Russian citizenship was confirmed. This was reported by the head of the Armed Forces Vsevolod Knyazev. He issued an order on deduction from 05. 10. 2022 of Lviv Bohdan Yuriyevich from the state of the Supreme Court.

The basis of such a decision was the information of the Security Service of Ukraine that Lviv is a citizen of the Russian Federation. Knyazev reminded that, according to the Constitution of Ukraine, the powers of the judge shall be terminated in the event of termination of Ukrainian citizenship or the acquisition of another state by a judge.

According to the chairman of the Supreme Court, the decision to terminate the powers of Lviv was difficult and became unprecedented for the Ukrainian judicial system. "During the full -scale war with the Russian Federation, when our best citizens are killed on the front and in the rear, we cannot even allow even the slightest doubt about the objectivity, independence and impartiality of the Supreme Court and all its judges," Knyazev emphasized.

He also reported that Bogdan Lviv still denies his Russian citizenship. In order to "notify" the conflict situation, he even went on vacation. "Even the leave of Judge Bohdan Lviv does not solve the problem of his Russian citizenship, because the leave does not deprive the person of authority, but gives the impression of further presence of Bogdan Lviv's powers of the judge of the Supreme Court," Knyazev said.
