The US Department of Justice reported that two Russian citizens were arrested at the United States, who ruled the Z-Library. They were detained in Argentina and then taken to North America. They turned out to be some Napolsky (not named) and Valery Yermakov. According to the statement of the prosecutor of the Eastern District of New York, Breon Pisa, the defendants made money on stolen works. He stressed that the content was downloaded within hours of its publication.
It is known that the Z-Library website has existed since 2009. Today, according to the creators of online library, it has stored more than 11 million ebooks. The investigation revealed that Z-Library is a whole network consisting of 249 web domens related to each other. All these domains were disconnected and confiscated by the US Government Decree. Copyright owners drew attention to the Z-Library after TikTok's social network was cuddled with a #Zlibrary hashtag.
