In Russia, the governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov declared the explosion of an unknown system in the hands of the child. He wrote about it in his Telegram channel on the night of October 21.

According to Vyacheslav Gladkov, in the Belgorod district, a nine -year -old child found a device "like drone" on the street, which Ukrainian troops allegedly attack civilian infrastructure objects in the region. As a result of the explosion, the victim received open hands injuries, he was taken to a children's regional hospital in a serious condition. On October 20, Vyacheslav Gladkov reported about the "massive shelling" of the village of Mur Shebekinsky City District.

According to him, there are no casualties and victims among civilians, instead there are significant destruction of the House of Culture, Kindergarten, School, Family Doctor's Office, store and private homes. The local authorities made a decision to evacuate civilians. On October 19, Belgorod authorities reported several more arrivals. They claim that one of the shells damaged the object of critical infrastructure.

According to the locals, the districts of Belgorod were left without electricity for several hours.
