Where and when? How will schoolchildren study in Ukraine during the war
The Ministry of Education for Science stated that in 2022 he will start training at general secondary education institutions on September 1. The educational process in schools will last until June 30, 2023. This was approved by the CMU Resolution No. 711 of June 24, 2022 on the beginning of the school year during the legal regime of martial law in Ukraine.
Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet said that Ukrainian children have missed the eye format, so if possible in regions where the security situation will allow it, they will be restored. An important nuance for an offline format is possible in schools, reliable shelters that meet the SES standards should be reliable. There is now an audit of educational institutions. More than 23% of bomb shelters meet the requirements.
“We have regions with a more intense military situation, of course, there will never be an offline educational process if there is no sufficient security level. During air alarm, children should go to the bomb shelter, to the shelter. This is also a certain condition for the beginning of the educational process.
The schedule and their duration are determined by the institution itself, the form of organization of the educational process will be determined in each community separately, ”the minister commented. "If the capacity of civil protection structures is insufficient to cover all participants in the educational process, then the educational process can be organized by distributing study time within hours (changes) during the day, week, month or semester," the Ministry of Education noted.
At the same time, the tire stressed that parents will make their own decisions in what format their children will attend classes. The decision of the parents should not be collective, the minister stressed. That is, if some of the parents agree to offline education and some online, then children will form different groups that will be trained in different formats. Also in some training institutions can be carried out in a mixed form, such as lectures - online and practical - offline.
During the year, the learning format may change. Offline training can only be conducted if there is a reliable shelter, which can be moved by participants in the educational process during air anxiety.
The founders of the Ministry of Education recommend the following safety measures: earlier the architects have named the rules of shelter for educational institutions, among them: the Ministry also recommends to appoint commissions for examination of educational institutions for readiness to organize training and ensure the safety of participants in the educational process. They are advised to include representatives of the regional units of the State Emergency Service and the National Police.
