After the withdrawal of troops from the right bank of the Dnieper near Kherson, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will probably be transferred to the Donbas, which will lead to the intensification of the fighting of the Donetsk direction. Such conclusions were reached by analysts from the Institute of War Study (ISW).

The publication states that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation began to declare more often about Russia's territorial achievements in Donetsk region to emphasize the intensification of hostilities in Donetsk region after the withdrawal of troops from the right bank of Kherson region. It is about the capture of the settlements of Mayorsk (20 km south of Bakhmut) and Pavlovka (45 km southwest of Donetsk).

At the same time, experts say that by November 13, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not report Russian territorial achievements. Increasing the Russian grouping of troops in Donetsk region will allow the enemy to achieve some success in the Bakhmut area in the near future, experts say, but these successes are unlikely to be promptly significant.

"The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation probably makes more territorial statements to create information conditions for coverage of the successes of Russia in Donetsk region and to distract from dissatisfaction with losses in the Kherson region," - said in ISW.

Experts also note that the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kherson causes negative rhetoric on the part of some Russian troops, who are increasingly resorting to criticism in assessing the combat capability of the Russian army. This suggests that the Russian military leadership is likely to be pressure in order to achieve significant successes in Donetsk region and other areas.
