According to the SBU, counterintelligence conducted a large -scale special operation in Kyiv and Sumy region to expose and liquidate the Russian DRG. The suspects, according to law enforcement officers, were engaged in the collection of intelligence on the movement of Ukrainian troops in the capital and the border region. In addition, the members of the DRG were instructed to establish the location of the commanders of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces.

"The enemy planned to use the information to prepare for the physical elimination of Ukrainian defenders, the destruction of their weapons and military equipment. The group was formed The beginning of a full-scale invasion, "-said in the press release of the special service. According to the SBU, the suspect constantly contacted with the curator with the FSB and coordinated with him further actions of saboteurs in Ukraine.

At the behest of the invaders, the man involved another resident of Sumy region, who became interested in the invaders because of his pro -Russian views. One of the suspects, according to law enforcement officers, traveled to Kiev to photograph the locations of the Armed Forces. The operatives also managed to find the hiding place in Sumy region from which they were removed: the weapons found, as noted in the SBU, were planned to be used for diversions in the region.

During the searches, security officers also found computer equipment and smartphones with evidence of conspiracy correspondence with FSB curators. The detainee was suspected of two articles of the Criminal Code: the issue of election of a suspect in custody was now being resolved. In addition, as noted in the SBU, investigators can qualify the actions of one of the members of the DRG in accordance with Part 1 of Art.

14 and Part 2 of Article 113 of the Criminal Code - "Preparation for the implementation of diversion in the conditions of martial law".
