Response to pseudo -referents. G7 leaders have declared their readiness to impose new sanctions against Russia - a statement
"We, the leaders of the Great Seven (G7), are strongly condemning fictitious referendums that Russia is trying to use to create a false occasion to change the status of sovereign territory of Ukraine, which is the object of Russian aggression," the statement reads. Video day at G7 emphasized that Russia's actions clearly violate the UN Statute and International Law and contradict the rule of law between nations.
They emphasized that Russia -made pseudo -referendums have no legal force or legitimacy and were conducted without compliance with democratic norms, the method of open intimidation of the local population. "These referendums in the territories that have come under the temporary control of Russia are in no way a legitimate will of the Ukrainian people, who consistently resisted Russia's attempts to change the borders by force," the statement said.
"We never recognize these referendums that look like a step towards Russian annexation, and we never recognize the likely annexation if it happens," G7 leaders said. The leaders of the Great Seven countries have confirmed their adamant support for Ukraine and the willingness to provide the necessary assistance to protect Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“We will continue to provide financial, humanitarian, military, diplomatic and legal support, as well as promote restoration efforts, in particular through an international expert conference on the restoration, reconstruction and modernization of Ukraine, which will take place in Berlin on October 25. We will stand firmly with Ukraine as much as we will need, ”the statement reads.
On Friday, September 23, Russia launched pseudo -referendums "For accession to the Russian Federation" in the occupied parts of Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions of Ukraine, which wants to create a legal reason for their annexation. Ukraine and the countries of the civilized world have stated that they never recognize the results of the Russian pseudo -referendum, which is carried out on an illegal basis, with falsifications and under armed pressure on the local population.
Also on September 21, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced a "partial" mobilization in the Russian Federation. According to official data of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, it is planned to call 300 thousand reservists. However, according to the Russian opposition media, the classified plans for mobilization provide for the departure of 1 million Russians for the war to Ukraine.
