Sociologists have learned the attitude of Ukrainians about closed borders from the Russian Federation and visas for Russians

Since July 1, Ukraine has been operating in Ukraine (photo: DPSU) 79% of Ukrainians support the presence of closed borders with Russia with visas and customs. These are the results of a survey conducted by the Kiev International Institute of Sociology. 11% said that Ukraine and Russia should be independent but friendly states with open borders without visas and customs. Only 1% of respondents advocate the unification of two countries into one state.

Compared to the period before a full -scale invasion of 44% to 79%, the proportion of those who believe that borders with visas and customs should be closed between Ukraine and Russia. Also, those who talk about friendly relationships - the number of such respondents decreased to 11% of 48% in early February. Also, from 5% to 1%, the proportion of supporters of unification into one state decreased.

In the regional section, the vast majority (from 86% in the West to 70% in the East) believe that borders with visas and customs should be closed between Ukraine and Russia. In all regions, compared to February, the proportion of protruding borders has increased significantly. The survey was conducted from July 6 to July 20.
