In the occupied Crimea, the deputy head of the Majlis Nariman Jelya was sentenced up to 17 years in prison

The Brothers Asana and Akhtem Aziz were sentenced to 15 years in prison. All three Crimean Tatars are accused by the Russians of the gas pipeline near the village of Peremalny. The so -called "Supreme Court of Crimea" sentenced the deputy chairman of the Majlis Nariman Jelya to 17 years in prison in a colony of a strict regime and a fine of 700 thousand rubles. This was reported by the Crimean Human Rights Group with reference to his wife Jellya Leviz.

As it is specified, the sentences were also declared to the brothers Asana and Aziz Akhtem. They were sentenced to 15 years in prison in a strict regime colony and a fine of 500 thousand rubles each. The invaders accuse Crimean Tatar activists of diversion, namely undermining the gas pipeline near the village of Peresnaya village on August 23. The Crimeans did not admit their guilt.

The Crimean Tatars believe that they are persecuted for pro -Ukrainian position and active human rights activities in the occupied in the region. 42-year-old Nariman Jalyal is a well-known Crimean Tatar politician, teacher and journalist. Since 2013, he has held the position of Deputy Head of Medzhilis - a representative body of the Crimean Tatars. On September 3-4 last year, Russian security forces searched in the house of jelly and then detained him.

The activist himself associated this with his participation in the Crimean Platform in Kiev. The Center for Public Relations of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation later reported that Nariman Jalal, as well as asan and Akhtem, are accused of blasting a gas pipeline used to transport gas to the Russian military unit.
